BHS Chapter National Honor Society Service Criteria
Service is defined through the voluntary contributions made by a student to the school or community (not including immediate family members), done without compensation, and with a positive, courteous, and enthusiastic spirit.
Service Expectations for Members
Each member must complete at least two Bellevue Chapter National Honor Society projects (At least three are offered per quarter); or complete one service project of seven hours in own time.
i. Both service projects must be done with NHS or preapproved by an NHS officer/NHS Advisor.
ii. Members who substitute one service project for seven hours must write a ½ page paper on their outside volunteer work and explain how it helped the community.

November: Sophia Way Meal Drive
We are hosting a Taco bar for Helen’s Place (Kirkland) and need 40 servings of Tacos.
This is a great opportunity to contribute to your local community.
We are planning on collecting the food items on Monday from 4:30~5:30 at BHS courtyard.

October: Food Drive with NBDC
What we need: 40 individual cup noodles, 40 juice boxes, cutlery (packs of spoons, knives, forks, napkins)
Minimum amount to participate (if possible, please donate more!)
Option 1: 4 of the food items (can be both of the food items or just one)
Option 2: 1 pack of cutlery
